Human talent and cross-border knowledge transfer were the core engines of the BRIDGE project. We are thrilled to share the final metrics of our mobility and capacity-building programme:
- 41 staff visits and secondments were successfully executed, perfectly balancing outward secondments of FORTH researchers to IIT and FHG with inward visits of advanced scientists to Crete.
- 121 total course-hours of structured training were delivered by the advanced partners (80 hours by IIT senior researchers at FORTH and 41 hours through intensive workshops at FHG), vastly exceeding our initial targets.
- A standalone research direction: These activities covered a broad spectrum from materials synthesis and advanced characterization techniques to breath research fundamentals and data management via Electronic Lab-book platform, establishing VOCs detection and analysis as a permanent standalone activity at FORTH.
