Joint research project for the development of a “Nano” perovskite-based sensor to detect and recognize VOCs in breath. The sensing element of the sensor is perovskite-based nanocrystals fabricated by a solution process onto interdigitated electrodes.
Different structures of perovskite-based nanocrystals, synthesized at FORTH under the supervision of IIT, will be tested for the detection of selected VOCs. The sensing ability for breath VOCs will be evaluated in collaboration with FHG. FHG will study the sensitivity of the developed sensors in simulated conditions using multiple gases relevant to the peppermint experiment.
